This is a photo of the grammar school in Lockhart, AL. It was taken in the late 1930s. It shows men hoeing a plot of land with an experimental ag project of some kind. What appears to be a weather station is in the foreground.





The first three pages of this History of the Florala Schools have deterioated, but the remainder are readable.

    My folks went to Covington County High School(?) back in the 40s. That is what those columns that are still standing on the east side of town signify right? I was noticing on http://www.ahsfhs.org and didn’t see anything about that school. Did the school coexist with Florala High School?
