You have no idea how wonderful and personal this web site has been to me. In 1978 I became the Executive Director of The Walton County Chamber of Commerce and we moved into the Chautauqua Building shortly after. I have such wonderful memories of my time there. And then to find this website with all this memorabilla housed at THE UNIVERSITY OF IOWA where my husband attended in the late 50′s and 60′s and where 3 of our children were born. Such fond memories of both communities and tied together in such an unusual way. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for your kind comments. I have been in contact with a person who lives in DeFuniak Springs and is a Chautauqua historian. He said he would contact you so that maybe you can exchange more information with him.
